Dr. Laura's Corny Joke Day Winners to Receive P.T.s

San Diego, Nov. 19, 2007 - P.T. "Possibility Thinker", the cuddly doll designed to teach kids of all ages how to persevere through life's challenges, is a featured prize on the popular Dr. Laura Schlessinger radio program.

Sixteen lucky Dr. Laura listeners will receive P.T. dolls or P.T.-themed sportsballs for telling a wholesome joke on air during the Dr. Laura Show airing Nov. 21, the day before Thanksgiving.  The joke-centered show, called Corny Joke Day, is a Thanksgiving tradition for Dr. Laura and her fans.

"As a longtime Dr. Laura listener, I am thrilled that P.T. is going to be part of Corny Joke Day," said Marlene Balbach, who created P.T.  "As the stress of the holiday season sets in, Corny Joke Day is a good reminder that we all need to take the time to have a silly laugh with the people we love." 

Balbach, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis 30-plus years ago, invented P.T. to encourage positive thinking among children and her fellow MS patients. 

The Classic P.T. comes dressed in a sweatshirt, jeans and sneakers, while Cammy P.T. is dressed in military fatigues.  P.T. Sportsballs feature a miniature P.T. nestled in either a baseball, soccer ball or basketball.  

The true sparkling gem of P.T. is its interchangeable Heart Message that gives a motivational message, or a loving reminder.  Messages include "You R Special and Unique"  and "If You Need a Friend, I am Here for You".  Each "Cammy P.T." comes with the special Heart Message, "YOU are my HERO!"
